The Welsh Football League is the largest senior league in welsh football and stands at level 2 of the FAW Pyramid system.
It's the only football league in the principality with Royal Patronage, our Patron is HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
It covers all of South Wales, and comprises three divisions with 16 Clubs in Division One, 16 Clubs in Division Two and 18 clubs in Division Three.
In addition, it has 2 reserves divisions in East and West Wales and also two youth divisions in these two areas.
In total, 105 teams play under The Welsh Football League banner each week.
Dinas Powys FC are looking to appoint a reserve team manager for the 2018/19 season, to run their reserve team, which plays in the Welsh League Reserve Division. The successful candidate would work closely alongside the first team manager Gavin Price.
Candidates should have some team management or coaching experience or likewise have playing experience at a similar level.

An opportunity has become available to manage AFC Llwydcoed’s Welsh League team. The club are currently in the second division of the Welsh League and have enjoyed Welsh League status for 18 consecutive seasons. The Club is also represented in the Welsh Reserve League and the Welsh Youth League.
As manager of the Welsh League team you will be expected to work together with the management teams of the Reserve and Youth team to ensure that players throughout the club are developed and improved in order to represent AFC Llwydcoed playing Welsh League football.
Experience of management within Welsh League football is desirable but not essential; the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate passion, enthusiasm and a keen understanding of the game, which has been developed from playing at a reasonable level.
The club is looking to appoint a manager who will be able to contribute to the wider development of coaches and players throughout the club. The club have teams at every level within its mini and junior football section, with over 250 players registered and representing the club in the last season.
As Welsh League manager you will be expected to represent AFC Llwydcoed in a professional manner and support the club in its ambition to develop and improve the club both on and off the field.
You will be supported by a small but loyal and dedicated committee and workforce of volunteers.
AFC Llwydcoed is a club that is held in high regard by the football authorities and those within the game; it has a rich history and tradition of achievements and is looking for someone to continue the good work done by previous managers.

We are delighted to announce that Mark Tawton and Gavin Price will form the new firsts management team at Dinas Powys.
Both are vastly experienced at Welsh League level with Gavin’s previous clubs including, Barry Town, Cardiff Civil Service, Dinas Powys and Grange Quins, whilst Mark’s former clubs include AFC Llywdcoed and Cwmamman.
We are also pleased to confirm that Robert Brown, Paul Lewis and Alun Lewis will be coming on board, with Paul and Alun taking charge of the Reserve team.
Pre-season training will start at 6.30pm on Tuesday 3rd July at Bryn y don, Dinas Powys with existing, old and new players, all welcome to attend.

For those of you who were present at the Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium last Saturday (28th October) for the Cambrian and Clydach league match, you may recall we held a minute’s silence marking the passing of Mr Roger Cottrell. I suspect that many present would not know who Roger was and more importantly how instrumental he had been in the development of this Football Club.
AFC Llwydcoed Welsh League/Welsh Reserve League /U16 Teams celebrated a “Record Breaking” Season at the end of season Presentation.
AFC Secretary Mr David Evans welcomed a capacity audience to their Llwydcoed HQ including parents, family members players plus distinguished guests: –

RCT Councillors Mrs Ann Crimmings, Mrs Sharon Rees and Mss Vikky Howells Cynon Valley AM.
In his opening address Mr Evans thanked his wife Mrs Chris Evans for her total support, help and commitment also thanking the AFC Llwydcoed Chairman Mr
Matthew Philips for his commitment, work, help and support. Mr Howard Morgan, Mr Stephen Jones, Mr Steven Price, Mr Christopher Denmead and Mr Tudor Jenkins were tanked for their Match Day help.
Moving on from this Mr Evans introduced Chairman Mr Matthew Phillips to the Presentation. Mr Phillips firstly thanked the AFC Secretary Mr David Evans for all his work for the Club, the Club's Committee plus bar staff and special thanks to Miss Laura Banyard for her outstanding pre-match presentation work help ideas and superb buffet.
The AFC Llwydcoed Secretary then welcomed the AFC Llwydcoed U/16 History Makers Management Team Mr Howard John, Mr Andy Stevenson and Mr Michael Warren who thanked the AFC Llwydcoed Secretary for his total commitment and help also thanking Smart Solutions for sponsoring the U/16 kit and Track Suit tops. The U/16 Management Team then thanked the Club's Welsh League Management Team Mr Lee Williams and Mr Gareth Price for all their pre-final training coaching and support.
The AFC Llwydcoed U/16 Team had won the ARJFL U/16 League winning all twenty games and from there they won the SWFA U/16 Cup 8-2 against Port Talbot, the first team from the Cynon Valley since 1985/1986 to win the Cup. What an achievement.
AFC Llwydcoed Secretary then welcomed the Club's Welsh League Reserve Co-Manager Mr Steve Jenkins who had took over this season with Mr Anthony Jones, an extremely difficult season through first team call ups, injuries and commitment. The reward came late in the season winning a thrilling AVFL Jubilee Cup Final 6-4 in extra time. A reward for the Co-Managers and long suffering players like Jonny Price, Matthew Phillips, Luke Davies Officials Tudor Jenkins and Jason Jones. On the negative side Jonny Price sustained a serious career leg threatening injury.
The first part of this outstanding Presentation was the Welsh League Division Two campaign. Mr Evans informed the audience at the start of the season a new young Management Team took over. Manager Mr Craig Boulton, Assistant Manager Mr Tom Morris, Coach Mr James Joseph inheriting a very young inexperienced squad full of energy and commitment. During the half way stage of the season Mr Lee Williams and Mr Gareth Price were brought in to support and help the current Management Team on and off the field. The young team finished in a very respectable eighth position. Both Co-Managers Mr Craig Boulton and Mr Lee Williams spoke about the season to conclude the evenings presentations/celebrations.
A superb presentation and one to remember for years to come.
