Its with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Roy Edwards. He was a gentleman and a distinguished figure who was well loved within the community. Roy loved his football and played goalkeeper for Aberbargoed Buds for many many years and when finally hanging up his boots, Roy continued to contribute to the Buds off the field serving on the clubs committee. I am proud to say Roy was eventually made President of Aberbargoed Buds to which I know he loved and we at the club felt honoured to have Roy as the figurehead of the football club he loved.
