Llwydcoed travelled to the Marston Stadium looking to maintain their championship challenge and they did this with a deserved victory.
The home ground playing area was in excellent condition considering the amount of games off due to the horrendous month after month of rainfall.
Lido started the better of the both teams with Andrew Bowden combining with Jack Underwood. Llwydcoed's defence had to be alert to the situation at the early stage with Gabriel Williams and Tomos Morris clearing the threat. More good play by Lido's James Doel and Andrew Bowden kept the visitors defence under threat. After this casual opening by Llwydcoed they began to move the ball through Liam Jones, Josh Tucker and Matthew Smart, Lido's defenders Dewi Owen and Kieran Parsons covered the space to clear. More good play by Tyler Hollidge and Leighton Price saw Llwydcoed create some attacks. The opening goal arrived and Lido took full advantage of Llwydcoed's players not covering Lido's movement and Joe McCarthy scored from close range after Llwydcoed's goalkeeper Bryan Forbes saved the first shot, a reward for Lido's James Rad and James Doel. Llwydcoed's reponse was positive with Liam Jones and Leon Bansel setting up Matthew Smart, Lido's defenders Sam Hodge and Dewi Owen cleared the threat. More good play by Llwydcoed who were patient in their build up saw Tyler Hollidge, Leighton Price and Leon Bansal finding Oliver Roberts the Lido goalkeeper Daniel James saved the first shot but Liam Jones followed up to equalise. The match was in Llwydcoed's control, they were gaining a bigger percentage of possession but Lido threatened on the break winning a free kick that struck the cross bar it was Llwydcoed's defence to be threatened, they broke from defence Josh tucker, Liam Jones and Leon Bansal sprayed a delightful through ball between the Lido defenders for Oliver Roberts to score a quality move and goal.
The second half started and Llwydcoed scored the all important third goal, Oliver Roberts sprayed a superb pass through to Leon Bansal who scored with ease and quality, they were playing with the wind behind them and Lido had a player dismissed so things became even harder for them. The match was Llwydcoed's to lose Lido were doing all the defending Tyler Hollidge was a constant threat to the Lido and he helped created a goal for Jarrod Price. Llwydcoed used their substitutes with Corey Morgan, Joe Boulton and David Lewis entering the play. The Lido ten kept playing for the badge thanks to Dewi Owen, Sam Hodge and Kieran Parsons working to cover attack after attack. Another goal was created with Jarrod Price and Leon Bansal combining to play Oliver Roberts through to score, it looked as if more goals would follow but it was actually Lido who finalised the scoring, they broke clear and Lido's Joe McCarthy was allowed to run clear
unmarked to score, a poor goal to concede considering the amount of possession Llwydcoed had gained something to remember from otherwise a good victory.
