Llwydcoed returned back to the Cynon Valley with three points after a superb team display thanks to two goals scored by Ross Daniels and Cori Mabey.




AFC Manager Mr Matthew Driscoll was still without Jordan Ellis, Craig Williams, Luke Spencer, Cory Leighton, Elliot Morris (all injured) and Lewis Holder (suspended) but he was still able to call on these quality players  Ross Daniels. Andrew Evans and Cian Cable  a minor tactical shape to balance the team was needed



The match started and in their very first attack Llwydcoed's Liam Jones struck the post, what a start  that could have been.  The visitors had settled quickly into their rhythm  with Morgan Andrews combining with Ross Daniels and Cori Mabey, they were the first to attack and pressured The Town defence.  The hosts responded and they began to find space and attack through Kazeem Kareen  Connah Hughes and Richard Sharratt.  They began to show their quality the Llwydcoed defenders Levi Jones, Gabriel Williams, Scott Griffiths and Liam Jones covered the threat.  The match was full on both teams trying to gain the ascendency when Llwydcoed did attack Callum Henry and Ross Daniels were involved.  Back came The Town through Simon Crook and Benjamin Smith.  The Llwydcoed defence and goalkeeper Brett Davies were under a spell of pressure only some top defending by Levi Jones and Andrew Evans kept The Town from scoring.  After this spell of pressure by The Town Llwydcoed began to build their attacks through Morgan Andrews,  Cori Mabey and Cian Cable who showed superb tenacity on winning possession.  Llwydcoed were on top as the first half came to a finish and they were not to be denied the impressive Morgan Andrews created the space and linked up the play with Cian Cable Cori Mabey and Andrew Evans finding Ross Daniels who turned and shot past The Town goalkeeper Gareth Wesson to open the scoring.

The second half started with Llwydcoed in control the passing and movement from Scott Griffiths and Liam Jones was top class bringing Andrew Evans into space who found the excellent Cori Mabey ready to attack.   The visitors looked the more likely to score, the hosts were not being allowed to create because of the visitors work rate.  As the second half began to build The Town tried to break open the Llwydcoed defence but the visiting defence stood firm their goalkeeper Brett Davies then helped to create their second goal a long out of hand clearance was flicked on by Callum Henry to Ross Daniels and Cian Cable played Cori Mabey into space and he shot past The Town goalkeeper to score.  The display by the Llwydcoed players was top class from goalkeeper Brett Davies whose kicking out of hand was spot on right through the team to Ross Daniels who gives so much for the team but The Town were not finished they began to amount attack after attack trying to find their top strikers Richard Sharratt and Connah Hughes the work rate and the positional play of the young Llwydcoed players was a joy to watch.  Both teams introduced their substitutes  Samuel Swann,  Matthew Owen and Jacob Guy for The Town  Kieron Bairstow and Sebastian Hobbs for Llwydcoed. 




The victory was Llwydcoed's based on a superb team display.
