Llwydcoed welcomed Garden Village to their Llwydcoed Ground and played out an entertaining draw.  Both teams played the match in excellent spirit.

AFC Llwydcoed Manager Mr Jonothon Price was without Corey Mabey, Joe Boulton, Bryan Forbes, Matthew Lloyd, Matthew Flynn and Jonathan Mason.  So in stepped Jordan Ellis, Matthew Doherty, Leo Thomas and Cian Cable.

The Llwydcoed Ground playing surface was in excellent condition considering the heavy rain.

The match started disastrously  for Cian Cable rolling his ankle after just returning from injury.  Conor Beaseley replaced him.  The Village were dominant  in the opening fifteen minutes with Owen Williams crashing a shot against the post the ball actually landed in the Llwydcoed goalkeeper's Andy Hargreaves arms only some top defending by Connor Williams and Matthew Doherty stopping The Village clearance whose Mark Howells and Jordan Reynolds linked up the play.  Llwydcoed were the team doing the defending, when they did attack Matthew Hunt and Scott Walters worked excellent together bringing Leo Thomas into play, his first time cross put pressure on The Village defence.  After the excellent opening by The Village the Llwydcoed midfield began to even the possession count, both teams had created chances but no goals and as the first half neared the end The Village were awarded a penalty and Owen Williams stepped up to score.  Previous to this Llwydcoed had to replace their top defender Richard Morgan with a groin injury so two players off injured in the first half Matthew Davies replaced him

HT 0-1

The first half substitutions had made things that more difficult for the hosts  but they gradually began to gain a bigger share of possession, they began to create attack after attack with Scott Walters and Matthew Hunt doing brilliantly bringing Connor Williams into attacking areas and then they were forced into their third substitution with Connor Beasley pulling up with a muscle injury so Josh Tucker replaced him.  This did not deter Llwydcoed they kept gaining more and more possession but The Village defenders Kurtis Morgan, Finn Chapel cleared the threat.  Their goalkeeper Chris Briggs made a good stop only for Jordan Ellis to shoot high over the bar, what a chance the attacking play by Llwydcoed's Connor Williams what a player he has has been for the Club from junior level to senior level .  More pressure by Llwydcoed more defending by The Village who kept Llwydcoed at bay and then a piece of brilliance by young Matthew Hunt who equalised with a quality shot.  The Village had not created many attacks not like the first half.  Their best chance saw Llwydcoed's goalkeeper Andy Hargreaves saving brilliantly.  As the match neared the final whistle both teams tried to find the wining goal.  A draw was the final score, a brilliant point for the hosts considering the injuries they received.
