The match started and Llwydcoed threatened the Town defence and Ricky Carter's effort was cleared but the home fans did not have to wait long for a goal. Adam Hawkins scored with a fine headed goal after good play by Leon Bansal. The Town responded immediately and a flowing move saw Sam Brown in space and scored with an excellent finish. Llwydcoed then began to build some possession with some excellent football but the Town broke open the Llwydcoed shape and Ross Jones was brought down to win a penalty. Garry Taylor stepped up to score.
